Water is one of the components necessary for human life. Water is the source of life. All creatures need water. Availability of water in terms of quality and quantity is absolutely necessary. Actually, aquatic ecosystems can do ‘rehabilitation’ naturally occurs when water pollution. But this has its limits rehabilitation capabilities. Therefore, at least there should be an effort for prevention and control of water pollution.
How to solve water pollution can be done starting from the introduction and good understanding by people’s behavior. How to solve water pollution prevention efforts can be done, for example by removing food debris and organic material into the trash can and not thrown in the river. Moreover, there are a variety of other measures besides to preventative measures that we can do. Here are some actions that we can do by the public as a way to overcome water pollution, namely:
- Use water wisely. Reduce the use of water for activities that are less useful and use the right amount.
- Reduce the use of detergents. As much as possible choose eco-friendly detergents and can rapidly decompose in nature.
Forests are a very important ecosystem in the face of this earth, and greatly affect the natural processes that take place on our earth. There are some functions of forests are very helpful basic needs of human life, namely: Hydrological, forest is a storage shed water and absorb rainwater and dew which will eventually drain into the rivers through the eye-water springs in the forest. With the forest, abundant rain water can be absorbed and stored in the soil and not wasted. Forest is also home to cook food for the plants, where it occurs in the forest nutrient cycle (nutrients, food for plants) and flow through the surface of the soil, can drain the food to the surrounding area.
Another important function of forests as a climate regulator, through a collection of trees can produce oxygen (O2) that are necessary for human life and can also be absorbing carbon dioxide (CO2) waste products of human activity, or into the lungs local area even if collected areal forests in the tropics, may be the world’s lungs. Cycles that occur in the forest, can affect the climate of a region.Forest has a wealth of different types of flora and fauna that are important functions of forests is the area that produces embryos of flora and fauna that will add biodiversity. As we know a lot of sewage treatment methods in one biological method with the use of activate sludge. Sewage treatment processes with biology method is a method that uses microorganisms as catalysts to decompose the material contained in the waste water.
Microorganisms themselves besides outlining the content and remove material, also makes the material decomposes as breeding grounds earlier. Activated sludge treatment methods (activated sludge) are a wastewater treatment process that utilizes the microorganism’s process.
Today the activated sludge method is a method of wastewater treatment is the most widely used, including in Indonesia, it is given the activated sludge method can be used to treat wastewater from a variety of industries such as food industry, Hospitality, Residential, Schools, Factories and forth materials.
By implementing this system obtained water that does not contain toxic organic compounds and bacteria that are harmful to health. The water can be re-used as a source of water for industrial activities further. Continue reading
Because the size is very large and strong winds and clouds have, tropical cyclones pose a huge impact on the places in its path. This impact could be high winds, heavy rain for hours, even days, which may result in flooding, high waves, and storm surge (storm surge).
Tropical cyclones in the ocean can cause high waves, heavy rain and high winds, disrupting international shipping and the potential to sink the ship. Tropical cyclones can rotate the water and cause high sea waves.
Turnover tropical cyclone landfall and vertical wind shear will produce a tornado around him. Tornadoes can also be generated as a result of cyclonic vortices in the eye wall that has survived to reach land.
Direct impact of tropical cyclones is the impact of the tropical cyclones is areas in its path. These can be either high waves, storm surges in the form of rising sea levels as the high tide came a sudden, heavy rain and strong winds.
Indirect impacts on the tropical cyclone can be a variety of things, such as:
Wind speed is the speed of air moving horizontally at a height of two meters above the ground. The difference in air pressure between the origin and destination of the wind is a factor that determines the speed of the wind. Wind speeds will be different on the surface covered by vegetation with altitude, eg rice, corn, and soybeans.
Therefore, the wind speed is influenced by the surface characteristics in its path. Wind speed can be measured using a device called an anemometer. Anemometer type most widely used is the cup anemometer.
It is undeniable that the wind speed will affect a lot of things. Here are some things that happen as a result of the influence of wind speed
Fields of transportation
Wind speed greatly affects the smoothness of the flight path. Besides to wind speed, weather and climate factors also play a role in the fields of transportation, especially for transportation. Besides to affecting the smooth flight path, the wind speed was also very influential in maritime transport.
Pollution is the process entry of substances or energy into the environment by human activity that directly resulted in any adverse way that will ultimately harm humans, damaging biological environment (natural resources) and the ecosystem as well as comfort and reduce or prevent the use of other should be of an environmental system.
inclusion of substances or energy by humans either directly or indirectly into the marine environment that causes adverse effects for damaging natural resources, endanger human health, hinder activities at sea, including fisheries, reduce the quality of sea water used and reduce comfort at sea.
Activities at sea are a source of pollution, namely:
1. Pollution from shipping activities
